Ghosts Of Dawn began in 2012, long before SymphonicAngel became a music project. It started with a camera, an idea, and two friends making their own amateur videos. Between 2012 and 2015, SymphonicAngel and his close friend Chris created six Ghosts Of Dawn videos together.
They were simple productions made for YouTube, but the name never truly disappeared.
For years after the sixth video, there was always the same promise...
Ghosts Of Dawn will return.
Eventually, it did... just not in the way originally imagined.
More than a decade after the first video, Ghosts Of Dawn became part of a much larger world. When The Night Angels Cried was created, the Ghosts Of Dawn were reimagined as an army destined to emerge during the story's final war. New mythology was built around them, while deliberately preserving connections to the events and ideas of the original videos.
At the same time, Ghosts Of Dawn found another life through music.
The first six chapters of The Night Angels Cried each featured their own evolution of the Ghosts Of Dawn theme. Rather than simply replacing the original song, the music grew alongside the story. The same central melody returned again and again, expanding from approximately three minutes to five, seven, ten, thirteen and eventually fifteen minutes.
Each incarnation changed. Elements appeared and disappeared. Sounds, ideas and even words originating from the old videos found their way into the music, turning something created years earlier into an evolving musical history.
Then came Ghosts Of Dawn 7.
For the first time, the series moved beyond the expanding original melody and received an entirely new song, while continuing the lineage established by the six videos that came before it.
What began as two friends making amateur YouTube videos in 2012 had survived for more than a decade, crossing from video into fiction, mythology and music.
And after all those years, one promise remains remarkably difficult to kill...
