The Night Angels Cried 2
They are going back.
The story begins with Peter alone on a long drive home, reflecting on everything that happened the previous year.
Fantasia has never truly left him.
The memories of the people they met, the friends they lost and the world they left behind have remained with him. And somewhere along that long journey home, one thing becomes increasingly clear to Peter...
Fantasia is calling them back.
Chris does not feel the same way.
Peter and Chris are living together again, but when Peter tells him that he wants to return to Fantasia, an intense argument erupts between the lifelong friends. Chris remembers exactly what happened there. They barely survived it once, and he cannot understand why Peter would willingly take them back.
Then Yuki walks in.
Having spent the past year singing in Japan, Yuki has returned to Australia and finds Peter and Chris in the middle of their argument. Her arrival calms the situation, and eventually the three make their decision.
They will return to Fantasia.
That night, before another journey begins, Chris cooks his famous spaghetti bolognaise.
For a little while there are no monsters, battles or worlds to save. Peter, Chris and Yuki simply share a warm meal together, laughing and talking like old friends.
By morning, it is time to leave.
Their journey will take them back to The Dark Forest and ultimately to Wolfy, who has spent the past year living in his own little den on the outskirts of Fantasia.
The Four Survivors had chosen different paths after their first journey.
Peter moved in with Chris. Yuki sang in Japan. Wolfy remained in Fantasia.
Now those paths are about to meet again.
Fantasia Lives
What waits beyond The Dark Forest takes them completely by surprise.
This is not the Fantasia they left behind.
The forests have grown again. Rivers flow through the land. Wildlife has returned. Castle Lionheart once again rises above the ocean, rebuilt but still carrying the scars of everything Fantasia endured.
The Four Survivors had left behind a battered world.
Now they stand before one that seems to have come alive again.
As they travel deeper into Fantasia, places they remember and places they have never seen before become part of a much larger journey. The Dark Forest, The Forgotten Village, Castle Lionheart and the distant reaches of Fantasia reveal just how much the world has changed.
A World Much Bigger Than They Remember
Beyond the familiar lands are places Peter, Chris and Yuki never reached during their first journey.
Wolfy travels north with Wolfina, the Dark Unicorn and the ancient Rock Monster, crossing the northern frontier and climbing The Distant Peaks into a world hidden amongst snow, volcanic mountains and endless mist.
There they discover the Village of the Mist, home to the Mistians... people with both human and animal features who have built a culture unlike anywhere else in Fantasia.
And amongst them waits Tigeria.
The mysterious tiger-like woman who vanished from Castle Lionheart during the first story is alive.
The world of Fantasia is expanding.
So is the danger.
The Night Grows Longer
As the journey continues, Fantasia begins to change.
The nights last longer than they should.
The moon changes with them.
Fear begins spreading across the world.
The people of Fantasia can see that the world they know is in danger of extinction. They are frightened for their homes, their families and their own lives.
And eventually, that fear turns people against one another.
By the time war reaches the Fields outside Castle Lionheart, there is no invading army standing on the other side.
The people of Fantasia are fighting each other.
The Dark Forest burns. Castle Lionheart fires into the battlefield. Villagers flee through the rain while CyberWolf, dragons and creatures from across Fantasia are pulled into a conflict spreading across the world.
And beneath a changing moon, the four people who once struggled simply to survive are faced with something far greater.
This time, escaping Fantasia will not be enough.
The Four Survivors
Chris.
Yuki.
Wolfy.
They entered the first story as ordinary people and unlikely companions caught inside a world collapsing around them.
They left Fantasia beaten, changed... but alive.
Now they have returned.
The world is larger. The danger is greater. And this time, escaping Fantasia will not be enough.
